Finally, Armor sponsorship!

Posted by mooseisloose - October 6th, 2011

It's taken me years and years to get sponsored by ArmorGames.com but it's been something I have been trying for since they were GamesOfGondor.com! I have a load more games not on NG, in fact, my best games are not on NG imo. Anyways my new game Flagman got sponsored by ArmorGames.com so check it out here.

I have also redesigned my blog/website/portfolio thingy so go take a look at JoeWillmott.com and follow me if you're nice enough!

Now to go get my other 10+ unreleased games sponsored...

Its a nice little game, but I hate that you copied the style DanPaladin made with Battleblock theater. Hell, you're even using it for your website's banner. Also, if you have 10+ unreleased games, you should probably polish them a bit before getting them sponsored: a preloader being a primary feature.

You did a pretty good job of mimicking Dan Paladin's style. I mean that as a compliment, though.

However I do feel that you shouldn't start consistently making games in his art style. I read on your little website how you want to make games using it. One or two in tribute is fine, but if you start consistently doing it, I don't think people are going to take kindly to you. Plus, you'll never really develop your own charm that makes your games special. You'll just always be that cheap Dan Paladin knock off.

I found Flagman to be kinda dull, but a lot of your games are pretty fun and show interesting concepts. Run-O-Saur has potential to be some incredibly popular iPhone game or something, if the concept got beefed up with loads and loads of content.

Keep up the good work!

I personally think that Newgrounds and Kongregate have a much better system/community than AG.

I've only put Symphonic on Kongregate but they were very inviting and the reviewers weren't as pretentious and hard to please as they are on Armorgames.
The AG players are so simple minded. "I LOVE RAZE PEW PEW BLOQCAHDDHA EXPLOSIONS"

Its one thing to be inspired by someones "style" quite another to ape their whole process, from top to bottom.. You have the same characters, the blockhead, same platforms, same use of the pixelated fonts for the health.. hell you even copied the shadowed vignette around the corners of the screen. People get inspired by others work all the time, Dans work isn't original but what he has done,, the way he does his explosions, his animations, has made it original..
You're just straight up aping his shit, which could cause audience confusion in the long run.
basically you're a dick, and I hope you get sued.

LOL "Games of Gondor".

I'm laughing at pieces of this game for the wrong reasons. Like-- you decided to denote that this thing is a teleporter by writing "this is a teleporter" on it, and the first boss is literally pasted from Super Paper Mario... and why don't the flags just automatically pick up!? Why is there no animation of goin through the door??
WHO DID THAT VOICE???

stick to the Rhino Run, Hippo Hero and Hedgehog Hop clone shit in future, cos your actual games suck
also yeah Im suing you aswell

+SirUndead, the game you're lookin for is Survive-O-Saur

Just so you all know, Survivosaur was mine. I created mine first then the makers of the other one paid me for the name and game idea. Just letting you know...

Right, so that was the map of Super Soldier by Dan Paladin, right down to the way you animated the flag... featuring the character from Battleblock Theatre, right down to the walk cycle.

Ugh.

Not only did you copy supersoldier for that game, in your blog there's an image of an exact copy of Battleblock Theater. That's really painful.
